BRISTOL PALIN DANCING...AND MORE TV TIDBITS!

• Eonline.com reports that Bristol Palin will compete this season on Dancing with the Stars. ABC will officially announce the cast on Monday. Dancing with the Stars returns September 20th.

Former 007 Timothy Dalton has signed on for a multiple episode stint on NBC's Chuck. He'll play a mysterious stranger who has ties to Chuck's mom, played by Linda Hamilton. In addition, The Expendables' Eric Roberts, WWE champ Batista and Bones' Joel David Moore will guest star on an upcoming episode. They'll play Casey's (Adam Baldwin) former Soldier of Fortune buddies. The episode will have the trio out for revenge on their ex-comrade.

MISCELLANEOUS MOVIE NEWS!

• Dear John's Channing Tatum will star in the drama Ten Year, about a group of friends reuniting a decade after their graduation. Other actors being mentioned for the film include Tatum's wife Jenna Dewan, Anna Faris and her real-life husband Chris Pratt, Chris Pine and Friday Night Lights' Scott Porter. So far none of the other actors have signed on for the project.

• Avatar's Sam Worthington will star as a journalist/photographer in the surfing drama Drift.  The film will detail how surfing evolved from a fun pastime into a global industry. Production is expected to begin in Australia this spring (which is their fall).

• Variety reports that there's a good chance the Oscars will be moving back to Mondays. The annual movie award telecast aired on Mondays until 1999, when it moved to Sunday. Now, with the NFL likely to expand their season from 16 to 18 games starting in 2012, the football season will be pushed later into February, which may force the Oscars to go back to Monday.

Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner is in talks to join Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 4. There's no word on what character he'll play in the flick, which is being directed by Ratatouille director Brad Bird.

AMERICAN BEAUTY PAIR REUNITING FOR SHAKESPEARE!
Kevin Spacey will reunite with his American Beauty director Sam Mendes for a production of Shakespeare’s Richard III, which will open at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Harvey Theater in early 2012. The show will then hit the road, before hitting London’s Old Vic Theater in May 2012.
