MISCELLANEOUS MOVIE NEWS!

• Kate Winslet and Jodie Foster have signed on to star in Roman Polanski's movie version of the Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage. Inglourious Basterds' Christoph Waltz and Crash's Matt Dillon will play their husbands in the film, which begins shooting in Paris in February. The play, which closed in June after 452 shows, starred James Gandolfini,  Marcia Gay Harden, Jeff Daniels and Hope Davis.

• MTV News reports that Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman are attached to a new film about the life of singer Jerry Lee Lewis. Brad is in talks to play the "Great Balls of Fire" singer, while Portman will play his 13-year-old cousin Myra Gale Brown, whom he eventually married. This will be the second time Lewis' life has made it to the big screen. Dennis Quaid played the singer in a 1989 flick, while Winona Ryder played his cousin/wife.

• Now that Joaquin Phoenix is done acting crazy, he's looking to get back to simply acting. Sources say that Clint Eastwood wants Joaquin for his upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic. Leonardo DiCaprio is in talks to play Hoover, while Clint wants Joaquin for the role of his protégé Clyde Tolson, who was allegedly Hoover's lover.
