An Amazing Feet: Armless Pianist Wins China's Got Talent!
Move over Susan Boyle, the winner of China's Got Talent beats your rags to riches story any day. At the age of ten Liu Wei had both his arms amputated after being electrocuted while playing hide and seek. But the Beijing native's handicap didn't stop him from following his dream. At 18, he decided to pursue a career in music, and learned to play the piano with his feet. And now at 23 his dream has come true. Liu has spent the past few months competing on the Simon Cowell-produced China's Got Talent and his participation has helped viewership increase to such an extent that it became the most popular show in Shanghai. And on Sunday, Liu wowed a packed crowd at Shanghai Stadium with his rendition of James Blunt's love song "You're Beautiful" (click here to see it) and won the competition. Liu received a standing ovation, as well as praise from all three of the show's judges, who saluted his determination. He won them over by joking, "at least I have a pair of perfect legs."  As winner, Liu was invited to play as a guest performer with a popular Taiwanese singer and has earned the chance to perform in Las Vegas for three months. He will also most likely land a record contract. "I have two options, I can die as fast as possible, or I can live a brilliant life," he told the crowd. "And I chose the latter." Indeed he has!
