According to a new analysis of government data, if moms earned a paycheck for the work they do around the house- cooking, cleaning, childcare and so forth- it would add up to $59,862. The bad news is, that’s down from last year’s figure of $60,182. Experts say the average wages for domestic jobs have fallen, which explains the pay cut. Considering how much work most moms are responsible for, you’d think they’d at least get overtime pay!
