A warm front that moved through SW Idaho Sunday will send temperatures into above-average territory to kick off the new work week, but the less-cold conditions don't stick around long.
By mid-week, a storm system will bring in some moderate snow to the mountains and a wintry mix of precipitation to the valleys, with a drop in temperatures behind it. In fact, by the Christmas weekend, highs for the Boise area will reach only the 20s. At this point, it doesn't look likely that we will have a white Christmas around the Treasure Valley but stay tuned to see what happens with the storm system coming in on Wednesday.
